‘The Ruth Rendell Mysteries’ is a British television series made by Television South and Meridien Television that ran for 15 years and won an Ivor Novello Award for Best TV Theme Tune. The theme needed to be about Inspector Wexford’s character as well as the storyline. It was scored for a solo cornet and small string orchestra. The series was produced by Neil Zeiger.
